About time, right? It's still a bit chilly but I can finally "feel the scent of roses in the air"! Its been a long, hard, cold winter and I'm just not used to that so I'm ready to have some relief. We just wanted to say that we love and appreciate each of you more than you will ever know. Its because of each of you that we get to do what we love to do. We hope to have a new CD available by late Summer and are looking forward to some great shows this year. So - get ready and we'll keep you posted. Tell all your friends, your neighbors, co-workers, relatives and strangers on the street that we need 'em and we'll always love and appreciate 'em. Come by often and check out the news. Peace!

So think about a membership. ; )

Happy Autumn! After a scorching Summer, here in Atlanta, GA - USA, its nice to have the Autumn leaves drifting by my window on the crisp cool breezes of Fall. We've had great shows at some new places and our CD "You'd Be Surprised" is getting all kinds of great reviews from around the world as well as being played on radio stations across the nation and in the Netherlands. Check out our PRESS page for the latest reviews. Its a super exciting time for us.
This past weekend we played for members at The Capital City Club and for the VIP party at JAZZOO. We had a great time and met lots of new folks. Keep in mind that we can play any event you want to hire us for and we'll bring our Vintage Styled Jazz along with us to keep the party swanky and full of charm.
This week . . . the jazz trio will be at Paper Mill Grill on Thursday (10/20) from 6:30p - 10:30p. Our jazz trio is different - we combine vocal and guitar with saxophone. It's a fresh take on the traditional jazz trio and you'll be surprised at how full the sound is. Friday (10/21) the 5 piece will be at The Artmore Hotel in Midtown-Atlanta for "Jazz in the Courtyard". If you haven't made it out to this show . . . come while you can. The series only has two more dates and then the weather just gets too cold for outdoor, night time shows. You can reserve one of the groovy outdoor couches or an intimate cocktail table by emailing email@example.com. We've got a wedding at The Buckhead Club on Saturday (10/22) - but that's a private event - just mentioning it in case you know someone that is getting married who might need us for their rehearsal dinner or wedding reception. Sunday afternoon (10/23) we return to one of our favorite places - The New Orleans SnoBall Cafe in Decatur from 4p - 7p. These folks opened up shop in the middle of the recession and they have found away to not only survive but to thrive. Come on out and see what the fuss is all about and enjoy our jazz trio on the patio while you try out the delicious SnoBall's and the new popcorn they are serving in all of the snoball flavors that they offer.
The following week . . . we'll be back at FEAST on Saturday night (10/29) for our Autumn Cabaret. The whole five piece will be in tow and this show fills up quickly - so making a reservation is a great idea. They've got a new Chef and new menu items you'll love to try. Teri and Robin have been some of our most loyal supporters so come show 'em the love and join us for a great night from 7:30p - 10:30p. Call to reserve a table at: 404.377.2000.
Thanks for all your support and for spreading the word about Kayla Taylor Jazz. Each and everyone of you are what keeps our little family going and we love and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks to all of you who came out to support us last Saturday at THE BIG BIG SHOW! We were blown away by your presence and by all of the CD's you purchased. A portion of all the proceeds was donated back to the South Cobb Arts Alliance and their plans are to use the money to help the Theater Project purchase headset microphones for the actors.
Make sure you check the press page for the latest review of our CD, "You'd Be Surprised". Next week we'll see you at Paper Mill Grill on Thursday (9/22); Fernbank on (9/23) and at a private function for CHRIS Kids at The Georgia Aquarium on (9/24). The following week you'll find us at The Artmore Hotel on (9/30) for the return of the Jazz Under the Stars Series.
The Big Show is next Saturday, Sept 10 at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheater, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton, GA 30126. Parking and the show are FREE. Gates open at 7p and the show starts at 8p. We're going to have a great night and Kayla will be joined by Steve Moore - guitar; Mike Zimmerman - drums; Randy Hunter - saxophone; Ramon Pooser - upright bass; and special guest vocalist - John Harrell. We're so excited and hope you can make it!
